Name: Adaira Aralliol
Race: Fairy
Apparent Age: around 17 or 18
Gender: female
Date of Birth: 26th May
Type: Folletti/Farfarelli
Residence:
Fairy Palace, although she has a small shelter outside in the country
Class: Noble
Title/rank:
Alignment: good
Occupation:
Appearance:
Attire:
Personality:
Adaira is a mischevious little thing; she loves to play pranks on people and other fairies, and she especially loves to fool around and play pranks on Leprechauns, causing many to grow gray hair. She is a Folletti afterall *g*. The thing she loves most is to simply enjoy the day as it is, and she lives for the moment, not really caring about the future or the past. Her spirit is wild and free, she simply enjoys flying in the wind and allowing it to billow around her. She is a joyful, colourful Fairy, but she knows when she has to be serious and calm, and her loyalty to the Royal Family is undying. She will do anything for her friends. Adaira is mild-tempered, but beware when you anger her! For she will not stop until she has her revenge, even if it means breaking some rules.
Fears:
she fears to be alone, thus she always searches for someone to play a prank on, just for the sake of her fear
Likes:
playing pranks, flying with the wind, or the butterflies, sing, play the lyre or the flute, hanging out with Ainé
Dislikes: liars, traitors, snobbs
Quirks:
she's got the tendacy to flip a lot when she's flying, and she can't resist playing a prank. Also, she collects wierd things, like goblets or rings
Inventory:
various jewelry, a large collection of rings comes in here, some necklases, brooches, and a collection of goblets. Note: the simpler, the better
Strengths:
in playing pranks, she's very good at that, in her loyalty and steadfastness, and also in the fact that she'll never run, even if she knows she'll never win or something
Weaknesses:
she's not the best in facing her fears or punishment for what she's done, she tends to runaway here. Funny though, she'll stand strong and roll her eyes at a scary thing, but she is completely weak and terrified when it comes to standing before the King or Queen
Goal:
To be a great friend to Ainé
Family:
Mother – Adana Aralliol, living in the country
Father – Arod Aralliol, living in the country
Brother – Amorfis Aralliol, lurking around the country
Sister – Aranna Aralliol, living in the country
Lover:
she's got her eyes set on count Grogan, Ainé's cousin, though for the moment, it's a one-sided love
Word Verification:
Of course I have because I'm wonderful!
History:
Adaira was born on a beautiful morning on 26th May, when spring had already given way to summer and Mother Nature had clothed the world in glimmering greens and other sparkling, vivid colours. She was the youngest of the children, having an older sister and even older brother. Aranna ignored the little imp that Adaira turned out to be, rather seeking company of the other Folletti her generation. Amorfis, however, grew to love little Adaira more than himself. They formed a strong bond, one that will last until the world falls, and perhaps even beyond. He taught her everything he knew, from flying to playing pranks, and even some basics with a small knife. Just in case she'd have to defend herself one day.
It was a lovely morning in the beginning of Autumn that Adaira was first taken to the Fairy Court, her mother thinking her old enough to get to know the life of the royality. The little imp immediately turned the place 'upside down', so to speak, by playing a practical joke on general Bulstrode (the details of which are widely known – she'd somehow gotten hold of a glue-type of thing and it ended with the general having to be shaved bald, because his helmet wouldn't come off any other way). Luckily for her, she got a friend in the princess Ainé, who stood up for the other girl before her parents, and indeed, the royal couple thought the prank extremely funny. Thus, Adaira and Ainé became fast friends, but not before Adaira promised to her parents she won't get the princess into trouble or mischief. And she doesn't. Well, usually.
/side note: while visiting the Palace once she saw count Grogan, and even though she hates snobbs, she fell for him, hard. She is determined to somehow win his heart./
Writing Sample:
Adaira sighed and lazily stretched on the branch that she occupied, one of her feet dangling from the air, her locks lifted in the slight breeze. She was waiting for someone to fly along the road underneath her; she had a payback to make.
Grogan was an insufferable monster, and a snob above all else, but Adaira had fallen in love, and love knew no boundaries. However, even the one she loved could become target of her wrath, and Grogan had done just that. Just the other day, the fairy had somehow managed to get caught in a wind-swirl and was thrown, unceremoniously, into a pond. Unfortunately for her, the fall had been witnessed by Grogan and his friends, and she was humiliated even further by their laughter and taunts. Today, she was here to return the favour.
Voices drifted to her from below, and she sat up, gliding back into the shadows and preparing herself with a sly grin on her face. Grogan and one of his friends, who had been quite loud the other day in his laughter, flew below her and chit-chatted about some royal girl, making fun of her and laughing. Adaira's blood boiled, but she waited patiently.
"C'mon Grogan, admit it, you like her!" Came the voice of the friend, and Adaira could imagine Grogan rolling his eyes, as his voice drifted up: "Don't get me wrong, she's cute and all, but a little too…cheap for my taste". They rounded the corner and flew directly under her branch.
Everything happened very fast; Adaira kicked something, Grogan yelped and his friend didn't know whether to laugh or look annoyed. A healthy pile of stinking water, full of mud pieces had been dumped right onto their heads. Silvery laughter floated down to the frustrated fairies, and as they looked up, they saw Adaira grinning down at them, sly as a cat, and looking extremely pleased with herself.
"I hope you enjoyed your bath, you should have taken it ages ago!" She chipped and flew away, leaving the two nobles cursing and bickering.
