Adaira was bored. Officially. There hadn't veen a good chance to play a joke in AGES. And there was no Leprechaun in site. She was annoyed, and she was edgy. She really wanted to make that mood go away...it did her no good, afterall! It only got her into trouble. Which wasn't good. Adaira was sure Queen Morag would not look kindly upon her should she choose General Bulstrode for another prank..last time she'd picked that lucky fellow, he ended up without a msutache. Which was extremely funny in Adaira's opinion and practical, but the Queen had not thought it so. Thus she now sat on the platform on top of the Tower, her hands wrapped round her knees and her chin resting upon them, gazing into nowhere in particular. Boredom was SO not what she liked best!

Morag gracefully landed on the railing of the Tower of Annwyn, expecting to be completely alone. She was so startled to see her daughter's friend, Adaira, there, that she nearly fell off! She righted herself and smoothed down her skirt. "Adaira! How are you? You haven't played any tricks on General Bulstrode lately, have you?" She raised an eyebrow at the mischievous fairy, but smiled.

Adaira was startled by the rustling of wings. Her head snapped round, only to see the beautiful image of Queen Morag in front of her. Uh-oh, not good. Did she do anything? The young fairy checked her memory. Nope. Nothing in the past two days. Ok, she was clear. For the time being, that is. She scrambled to her feet and did a slight curtsey, smiling at the Queen. No, grinning victoriously. "Hello ma'am. I'm fine, thank you, and yourself? No ma'am, I've been a good girl; General Bulstrode has only seen the ends of my wings, nothing more."

Morag nodded her head in approval. "Do you know where Aine is? I've been looking all over for her. She's supposed to be getting ready for the masque! You are going, aren't you, dear?" Morag had a tendency to ramble on a bit. What could she say, she loved to talk! It was her release. Well, that and fancy, new clothes...

Adaira relaxed, visibly, when the Queen showed her approval of the situation. An inaudiable sigh of relief escaped her lips before she could stop i, but she hastily pushed it aside as the Queen spoke on. Adaira shook her head. "No ma'am, I haven't seen the Princess today. To tell the truth, I haven't really searched for her. She's probably getting ready for the ball." A beam crossed the young fairy's features then. "Oh yes ma'am, I'm definitely going! I have my gown already prepared and ready...though haven't found the inspiration to slip into it yet." Hastily, she added: "And I promise I'll be a good girl and behave." Hopefully, she added to herself. She couldn't really resist a good oppurtunity to play a prank.

The queen's wings fluttered gracefully. "I'm glad to hear it. I can't wait to see everyone's costumes! They always get more and more extravagant each year, don't you think?" She smiled and looked over her shoulder at the sprawling metropolis below. What a lovely sight... So much nicer than those dreadfully dull hills she had grown up seeing every day.

Adaira smiled towards Morag. "Oh yes, definitely! I think it's because of the good influences we have...especially from our Queen..." The young fairy beamed shyly up at Morag; Adaira was a prankster, yes, but she still loved the Royal family, and her kin, more than anything. A thought crossed her mind. "My lady, has there been any news from count Grogan? I heard he'd left the palace a while ago..and am curious if he went to 'visit' the Leprechauns again." Right, so she did like Grogan. A bit. But she wanted to know if he'd be on the Ball. Maybe then she'd be able to return a certain favour she owed him...ooc: I set up my character as having a rocky relationship with Grogan..just so you know why she's acting as she is

"Oh, Adaira, you're sweet. And, no, as a matter of fact, there has been no word from the Count. I was wondering about that myself. He should have at least let us know he was going to be late in returning home from the Leprachauns..." She bit her lip, as she tried to think of where Count Grogan possibly could have disappeard to now. "I really don't see what he finds so fascinating in visiting them so often. It's truly perplexing, don't you agree?"
OOC: Thanks!

Adaira had to bite her lip not to laugh. Oh, she knew -exactly- what Grogan found so fascinating about Leprechauns. He liked to taunt them, lure them out, and then he wretsled with them, testing his strength, and his courage. Arogant Fairy. "I agree, it is so. And he should have left word, if nothing else!" the young Fairy's comments were according to what the Queen probably wished to hear, since Adaira couldn't really admit that she knew what Grogan was probably doing because she tended to do something similar herself!

Morag knew just what he liked doing when he visited the leprachauns, but she was much too polite (social circles-wise, that is) to let on. He was so dreadfully arrogant! "Well, I must be getting along. I have to get dressed for the masque! As should you!" She raised an eyebrow in Adaira's direction.

Adaira smiled towards Morag. "Indeed I should get dressed...it was a very pleasant talk, ma'am, I enjoyed it. And I hope I was not intruding on anything." The young Fairy curtsied and flapped her wings once before taking off into the skies. She really needed to get ready for the Ball. And, should Grogan come along, she knew just what she'd do to him. She might have promised to behave, but she was certain the Queen wouldn't mind if she taught her nephew a lesson he wouldn't soon forget.
